Experience the Verona Opera Festival

A beautiful and historical city, Verona attracts tourists from across the globe. While the romantics flock to Juliet’s balcony and nature lovers head to Lake Garda for breath-taking panoramic views, Verona is one of the most popular destinations for those who possess a real passion for music.

Home to the Verona Opera Festival, each year opera enthusiasts travel here for spectacular performances in one of the world’s most incredible and atmospheric venues: Arena di Verona.

Outstanding Performances

Built in 30AD, this two-thousand-year-old Roman amphitheatre was constructed as a stadium to host a range of games and shows. With increased importance placed on the arts, it was given a new purpose during the Renaissance and provided a dramatic backdrop for theatrical performances.

Today, the Arena plays host to the Verona Opera Season each summer. Delivering unparalleled acoustics, it has become one of the most famous and internationally renowned venues. The result is an immersive operatic experience unlike any other.

The Finest Operas

Verona Opera Festival is the oldest and most revered in the world and this annual event has been moving audiences for more than a century. As the world’s biggest open-air theatre, the arena hosts some of the most beloved and admired works, including Puccini’s Tosca, Verdi’s Aida and Bizet’s Carmen.

At Opera Tours Italy, we select only the finest Verona opera tickets for an unparalleled view and a truly remarkable experience.

Electric Atmosphere
